Why not go ahead and get them just to be safe? They're not that expensive and its not a hard install.
Heck technically I can run 45-50lbs of boost on stock head bolts, but Id rather spend a little money in preventative mods than break somethin more expensive down the road. |
Like I said this was just a talk thread for everyone to kinda throw their idea out there.

Well thats my idea :tu:

Here's my problem, Ive had my intake and exhaust 60lb springs now for about a year but havent had the $250 to get them installed, and a little scared to install them myself. Should I go ahead and attempt doing it or should I go ahead and bite the bullet and pay to get them installed? Btw this is with the head still on the truck, I dont want to remove it to change out the springs. Ive heard that you can unbolt the body bolts to get to 5 and 6 but not sure. Tell me what yall think.

Thank bud, about how long did yours take? did you left the body to get to the last two?
|
Shouldnt take more than two hours max, depending on how well you can get to the last two. I did mine on a Ford, so Im not exactly sure how hard it is to get to the last two on the Dodge.

Haven't done it yet, but Geno's Garage sells a valve spring compressor that you can use a bolt with to get to 5 and 6.

No problem, man. I bought one to do the springs on my truck, just haven't gotten to it yet. :tu:
