need some advice.. injectors what kind do i need?

alright everyone im doing a senior project and i wanted to do something i could get a credit for and enjoy long after im out of school. im very intrested in learning more about mechanics im not just here to see smoke like most kids are. so far ive got #100 plate, intake, exhaust, starwheel, and clamped wastegate. only downfall is this truck has 220000 on it and original tranny. im going to be hauling a pretty good size boat this next year and was wondering if i should get injectors?? if so what kind?? i dont want to break the bank either. its either injectors or gauges i know i should already have the gauges but dont which do yall think i need most?? or should i just start saving my money for a built tranny???

thanks but with the gauges n built tranny how many hp sticks should i get? what about marine injectors are they worth it or should i save n get some name brand stuff

If you add sticks to the mix you have going on now you'll def kill the tranny towing the boat. Also marine injectors are not the way to go, all they give you is hot dirty somewhat cheap power. A set of 5x.014 from Southern Diesel Extreme (sponsor on the site) makes very nice correct spray pattern for the 12v at a very reasonable price. But I agree gauges tranny then sticks. Make it reliable first then add the power.

96cummins is right. imo its better to buy once then keep replacin stuff and buildin a tranny can be as much as u want the liffle mods u have done and with injectors a double disc torque converter will do that and injectors. but get ur gauges before u put sticks in. dont get no marine 370's they have a 155 spray angle ur lookin for a 145. i just bought a new set today extrude honed 150's i haul everyday. stock tranny lol im buildin a standard though. but 90 hp should be enough for u but private message me or text 865 659 0466 ill explain a little more

I would run Gauges, the trans, and a set of 215hp injectors. With the right pump tuning, it is no problem to max out your stock charger with a set of 215hp sticks. From there I would start looking at what you really want to get out of the truck, power and purpose wise, and come up with a plan from there, and start by addressing the supporting mods first. Studs, O-rings, what components your trans needs etc... Then what you will need as far as air and fuel and tuning to get your truck where you want it.
