Replace afc washers?
What exactly does this do? Replace single cupped washers with single flat washers or multiple flat washers?
|
you just switch the front washer with the back washer, doing this will allow the afc foot to move farther farward, u only really need to do this i believe if your running your plate ff, u should also grind 1/4 inc off the barrel of the foot arm(this will also allow it to move forward more.

when i did mine i switched it with a 5/16x 1.5 fender washer

Allright, I went ahead and did everything that the "tuning guide" pdf file said to that I forget who exactly threw up here. As far as the washers went I changed them out with single flat washers. Before I changed them out I was tuning the afc with an air compressor and even at say 40psi the slide wouldnt slide all the way, but after replacing the washers it has no problem sliding all the way even afte shaving 1/8in off the barrel. Thanks guys for all your help! the tech write ups helped alot! As I tinker and learn more I'll defianlty post more to help out any new guys, I know it sure helped me when yall did the same! Thanks Again!

Glad it worked!! Those 12v's are a TON of fun to tinker with:rocking:

I completly agree! now I'm trying to figure out if I should build the boost controller or not... I have a 0 fuel plate ff and my afc ff with all the mods to that done and I turned 38psi on the stock turbo... so I'm thinking maybe it woould be a good idea. Not exactly sure what it does tho... gotta do more research! :humm:

it controls when the wastegate opens. I would not run anymore boost than you have now with the stock charger, you should actually take it down a little.

Yea that's what I was talking about, I don't wanna run the chance of over-spooling the stock turbo. I'm not sure if it has any effect on it or not, but I havmt even put in the gsk yet and it already turnd 38psi. Is the boost controller essentially a blowoff valve?
