how do i tighten the stock spring
You need a GSK get a 4k and be done with it.
well for now till i can do that how do i tighten the stock one?
search the threads, I have looked all around this site their is alot of good info, just search governer sprinks or 4k gsk
Tightenin the stock one is a bad idea. Can cause runaway and having higher idel which can be high enough to not disengauge the tranny at a stop. Bad news save the money and do it right. :pca1:

hey bad a%$ 97 there right it ain't the best idea it works for another couple hundred rpms but its really not worth it as fair as risk and labor just save it and do it once and right that is just an old tight a$$ trick sorry that I sorta recommened
You can always go cheap and do the washer trick. Probably not much info on here about it and I wouldn’t recommend it but if your really interested hit up member Jamie Wood.
Also, keep in mind if you go with the 4k kit, you will want to add 60# valve springs as well.
