best cheap 1st mods? i would like to know for a buddy of mine he may be getting a 97 5 speed and he wants some performance out of her. perferably free or cheap thx men =D

I would say grind/slide fuel plate, adjust afc housing and starwheel. All free mods.

put a washer between the pump and rack travel plug, you can also take the silencer ring out for more whistle

yes i will, you take the rack travel plug out of the front of the pump, to do this you either have to grind a little bit of your timing case or loosen up the bolts on your injector pump to get it out, you may be lucky and get it out without doing that but i highly doubt it, once that is out either buy a mack plug:q: for it which i dont know the part number of it but i can get it for you or put a washer on the plug doing that will allow the fuel rack to travel farther into the plug therefore allowing more travel, out of the two of them i would spend the $5 and get the mack plug because then you can have a decent amount of threads into the pump instead of one or two with the washer
