I have NeapCos in the Driveshaft and precision in the front axle...they have right about 200k on them without issue. My OE didn't even make 75k...

I think lack of service or poor grease is more the cause than the joint being greaseable.

My center carrier bearing was bad, so I had to replace it.
Truck has 250,000 miles so I changed my u joints also.
Used Neapco 2-0054HD u joint and Mobil 1 Synthetic Grease.

Greasable tend to fail once you pop the seal. They aren't technically "purge at all 4 caps" now if we're talking semi's you're supposed to grease til it comes out of the 4 caps evenly, if it doesn't come out of one cap then the joint is supposed to be considered faulty and replaced even if there isn't any slop... That's proper PM, never gets done that way tho lol I like greaseless just bc it has better seals to keep grease in and crud out, however all the grease I've seen used in them appears to be a moly type which I feel is what attributes to their failure. I'm a huge fan of red n tacky or similar. At the same time greaseless joints aren't always available for the vehicle. Aftermarket tends to favor grease able.
