I have a winter front, MOPAR behind the grill leather one, it works great. It has four adjestible flaps for varying temps. I know that with mine it definately allows the truck to warm up faster when it is on.

I just put some cardboard in the honey comb I'll see if I can tell the difference

i dont know about you guys, but i dont have a winter front, no grille inserts, no nothing, and if plugged in and left to warm up for ten mins or so, shes good to go and thats at -25 celsius, or at least - 20 f and the ol girl is almost warmed right up by the time i get to work, which is only five minutes away, but i do have the winter package, but thats minor, just an engine blanket, and a block heater, i think thats all that it comes with, even sittin not plugged in, shes cranky but she fires right up, and is warmed up pretty quick:U:

hell, if I had 10 extra minutes in the morning I wouldn't know what to do with myself.
who wants to waste the fuel anyway. |

does anyone have a picture of the mopar winter front on a 2nd gen?

well just to report back. I wanted to see if there was a difference. so I cut up some cardboard and put them in behind the "honeycomb" and I was definitley impressed with how qhickly it warmed up. definitly half the time. no difference when sitting at idle at warm up.
so it looks like I will be fabricating my own I am going to try an build a guard for the bumper hole too. so if anyone has one of those I'd like to know how they mount if anyone that has the inserts for a 3rd gen wants to make templates (paper copies)for me and send them to me that would be awesome. as the 3rd gen honey comb doesn't come off. ---AutoMerged DoublePost--- I just found this on genos garage how cool is this! http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo.asp?number=82208721 |
Damn! That is kind of cool. :up2:
