another turbo question
what would be the midrange hp difference between a 65 and 71 hot wheel on a 64 charger.
|
little to no hp difference but a better boost:drive pressure ratio with the 71
we like using a S300 in 64/68/14cm gated....with a smarty alone it spools quicker then stock and as far as drive pressure we have one on top of a S480 and it makes 70psi boost with 80psi drive pressure we usually only use the 71 and 74 turbines on sled pulling rigs to help stay on top of the charger at the end of the track just my $0.02 |
thanx for the info,I have a 96 waiting for a complete rebuild with a 20 over bore then going back with the right stuff to make a dedicated puller.looking for 1300+hp this will be a two year project.Ill start with drive the line and set up over the next 9 months then start on the motor so keep in touch.

i wish i had your money. good luck on your build man

i hope your planning on using the 64 as a top charger in a compound setup to get to that hp level, other wise i'd be looking at a S400 based charger with a billet 80mm wheel or larger
