Found it. Its the black thing mounted to the back of the filter assembly. I'm replacing it with the airdog raptor 150 and a cat 2 micron filter assembly. Any one have a good technical write up on the raptor install on this truck?

Yep found it its on the back of the filter.

what are your plans for the truck and how much is the filter setup gonna run ya?
|
The filter setup I already have, I got it for free basically spare parts I had lying around for my boat. Not looking to really do anything too crazy with the truck. Mostly pull my boat and a horse trailer. Just added a bully dog gt programmer with gauges. My fuel pressure isnt too good so I am adding the raptor pump and big line kit (free with the pump). Then deep transmission pan and remote filter followed by high capacity rear and front diff cover. I'm going to replace the tc and rebuild the tranny when it fails. Probably add a coolant filter at some point. Its got 98000 miles on it now and I just want it to run forever.

since urs was on the back of the fuel filter canaster the install of that raptor is soooo easy. the instructions it comes with are very good too. just make sure to get the blue clip off the fuel line outlet on the tank or the quick connect for the raptor will not go on correctly. i just put a raptor on mine so hollar at me if u need any help

Fass also makes out standing lift pumps aswell, just my two cents

The '03's originally came from the factory with the lift pump mounted to the back of the fuel filter housing. Now if that pump has ever been replaced by the dealership, the replacement would have been put in the tank as Dodge no does not offer the original-style lift pump.
All lift pumps were moved into the tank when the Cummins "600" debuted in 2004.5. |
i have a 04 5.9 and thinking of upgrading my lift pump, havnt looked to see where mine is mounted yet.
do they just maintain fuel pressure to the inj pump |

I just got a 2003 Ram 2500 with the 5.9L cummins which I love. I was wondering where the lift pump is located on this truck? Thanks.
