News flash, ok so I ran a set route in my Honda and it came to 2.4 miles, then I did it in my cummins it was 2.1, so the speedo is off. So 1/3 of a mile off

i suck ass at math so that difference meant nothing to me other than its off. so now ya know. your spedo is off but hey i'd probly keep it that way and use a gps for speed so when your truck has 300k on it your speedo reads 200k :tu:

How long are letting it idle, and whats your commute to work like? How does your truck seem to run smooth?

When was the last time the fuel and air filters were changed? That can help bring up mpg's for sure.

What's your gear ratio?if the previous owner put 4.10s in it that would decrease milage as well. But change the fuel and air filters as well

Ya I will change those, the truck runs fine and im pretty sure its got 3.73 gears. As for idle I dont run it that long

The best results for better MPG that I did turned out to be the Edge with attitude and to change out the stock turbo to a Industrial injection silver series 62. the rest of my upgrades didn't improve the GPM but sure increased the HP without sacrificing the Milage.
