help with trans problem please
 

I have a 2006 dodge cummins with the auto trans. I cant get it to shift out of first gear except when ever it feals like it. it will shift out of first at high rpm but not every time. I checked tranny fluid it is red and does not smell burnt. ANY IDEAS PLEASE:dang::dang:

My 06 did that at 40k km. Sent it back for warranty, they had to replace it. Said it was fubar'd. I would definately not be driving it till ya get it sorted.

My brother's did the same thing and it was a selenoid - have to drop the pan to change but are cheap on ebay. (around $70 get both)
