Did you then follow the steps in this one: TSB 18-033-04

i have the diablosport for my 05 and i was wondering where i can enable the high idle at with the programer of if i can at all.

Another word of advise that may or maynot hold true for you but does everytime I use the high idle function on the cruise control when parked. If its cold out my truck will either never warm up past 140* or if I want to maintain a temp like say 190* don't turn it on. It always just sucks the heat out of everything. It is quite handy though when I get done pulling to turn on defroster and heat and let it run at 1500rpm for a few minutes to get the heat out.

Will this work on my 2004 Cummins 6spd? and if so what do i say to the dealership to program the high idle

I made my own for a 2001, just a set of Relay's that make it look like my foot is on pedal, or the APPS sensor is in different place. Working on a schematic, still. PM me if you would like to know more of how I did it.

rgnagy74 10-25-2009 12:18 AM

RAWILLIAMS do you just flip a switch to activate it? What are the RPM's at?:humm::humm::humm::humm::humm::humm::humm::humm ::humm::humm::humm::humm:

Yes, I flick ONE switch, and 4 relays energize. 1 to send the proper voltage to the ECU, reduced by resistors. Different voltages change the RPM, 0.8V is about 1250 RPM, 1.10V around 1600RPM. The use of a rheostat could make it indefinitely variable, but I wanted mine dummy proof, as some people are idiots. The other 3 tell the ECU that the APPS is off idle, as there is on-idle, and off-idle verification.
As for your little smiley bastards holding the signs....... I'll work on some picts

Alright, here it is!! I used resistors to set my RPM where I wanted it, more resistance will be less RPM, less resistance more RPM. You could put a rheostat in beside your switch, and run a wire from the relay, to the rheostat, then back to the other two wires. Yes, it is necessary to have 2 wires there.
I also bought the proper wire connectors, pins, and insulators to plug into the engine harness and APPS.
:redx:

This is on a 2001 Dodge, should work for anything with an APPS.

Can you give us any and all info you can find on this? Like p/n and such that you used (Like for the OEM connectors and such!)

(You already know why: You said it best!)

(I'm not admitting to anything! I just need all the help I can get!! . . . LOL )

Hahahaha, I was referring to people that jump in the cab, and without asking start turning knobs and flicking switches. All the part #'s I used are from John Deere, as I work at Brandt Tractor in Alberta (the Deere Forestry and Construction sales and service company). I will look into it tomorrow for sure.
Oh, and tonight I installed a potentiometer into the look and removed the resistors. The solders like to bust loose from vibration. Now I am indefinitely variable, and have to watch out for "idiots":w2:

This is the site that has all the part numbers you need. They are called Deutsch (Pronounced Doich Deutsch Definition | Definition of Deutsch at Dictionary.com) connectors, and I would like to think most parts stores would carry them. Dodge dealerships should as well. Just ask for a 6 pin DT Deutsch connect and pins. Make sure you get the retaining clips as well.
If you local parts shop, or dealership can't get them, or know what you are talking about, you may have to order from the site. Order by you wire size, I used 18 Ga. as little amperage is drawn. You will need DT & DT BUSSED Series Size 16 Contacts, 6 pin. One of each connector, and 6 male pins, 6 female pins. Order pins by your wire size.
