i thought that they all, or most, had the ls rear end.
i know mine does.

I thought so too.. I think im gonna call a dealership and have them look it up per the VIN number to see if it came with it... How good are Dodge's limited slips? I know the older chevys (mid 90s with the 10bolt rear end) limited slip sucked... I toasted the limited slip in it one time and took out all the bearings... Hopefully the diffs are good in it.. it IS a 3500 but...

ive never had any issues YET.
i do abuse the truck as far as
working it, but honestly i cant
even tell its back there... :humm:

Hell, just drive it like a big truck. Only thing I use the clutch for is to pull out and then push it in when I'm stoppin. Use your RPMs to shift.

Ive tried that a couple time, i get get it into a couple gears, and then other just grind trying to go in, and yes i know how to drive a bigrig:choochoo:

jt, i think all 3/4 and 1 tons came with the 11.5
rear axle starting on the 03's.

LSD was an option...depends on wht the truck was ordered with...

I am thinking a couple things from you "banging"...one is the engine/clutch is slowing down so quick that it is causing the driveline to shudder when you release the clutch (really noticeable when its cold), and the other is possibly the pilot bearing is sticky and the input isn't releasing smoothly.
