These trucks don't have MAF sensors. I think your talking about the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor. You can install a BHAF on these trucks. You have to get creative on re-mounting the IAT sensor. I've seen it done with plastic PCV pipe or aluminum tubing.

I made my own torque tube with a 5.5in piece of aluminum pipe.

boot is at great lakes, a-school is in california, and infantry training is in mississippi then i don't know where. so tell me what to expect from day to day life on base?

Buckshotmckee 07-04-2008 09:47 AM

That's odd you aren't doing all your training in Gulfport @ the Seabee base?

From what I remember: Boot is a big head F*$%, so try and keep it together. Don't let them get inside your head. Once they do, your screwed! I did my boot in Great Mistakes as well. You usually start the day with breakfast, then PT (Physical Training), then class, then lunch, then more class and marching, then dinner, then drill, clean the barracks, lights out. Your 1st couple of days there, don't expect to get more then 2 hrs of sleep, total. Try and get into a 'Color' company. These are the guys that carry the flags, band, choir and drill teams that perform for the graduations and go out in town for special events. While the other companies are marching around in circles, your practicing and doing something constructive. I was in a color company and graduated with honors.

While at 'A' school, it's pretty relaxed. You get up, PT, Breakfast, school, lunch, school, dinner, muster for duty if you have it, or your done after dinner.

Just remember what NAVY stands for, Never Again Volunteer Yourself, and you'll do fine!
