I have a 03 that was doing almost the same thing but all my injectors, pumps, and sensor check ok they found a update that can only be done through dodge it was a update long crank time during cold wheatear temp cost 63 dollars for the reflash not sure if it's fixed the problem has not got cold since. Might be worth a shot

With the EZ on there it is the inejctors. Unless you run a return flow test it is hard to tell but the worn injectors are likely the source of the hard start cold.

So I got the injectors changed out and parked it outside for Saturday morning. And what ya know, she fired right up.

So with the edge EZ in there, would it be a bad thing to leave it in there of should I tell the guy to take it out?? He uses it to tow his boat, that's all. Thanks for all the help guys!!

The EZ is a pressure box, by the time you turn it up to make good power it is hard on the injectors. Lacking extra filtration it is that much harder. If he uses the EZ he needs extra filtration and a rail pressure gauge to drive by. It is really easy to get it so high you have +20k psi at cruise and that will accelerate injector failure.

Thanks ill let him know.

So just got a message from the owner of the dodge. Went outside to start it and wouldn't start. It was -14'c this morning, so it was warmer then the last time I started it outside, which was after the injectors were done. So I'm thinking FPR or maybe CP3???

Is there a way to test the FCA on the cp3? Maybe it sticks shut?

Dunno, was hoping someone would beable to tell me.

Ok guys need some help. That truck won't start when it's been parked for an extended period of time. Is there a way to test the FPR or the cp3?? Need help please!!!

Not sure what an FPR is, that does not compute.

If you mean FCA then there is no reliable way to test it, replacement is the only way. The CP-3 return flow can betested to see if it bypassing too much fuel. You will have to find the specs for it somewhere, don't know them off hand.

If you mean the rail PRV, then it can also be tested. Remove the banjo bolt and move the line out of the way and bad it or put in a container. Clean the PRV well out with carb cleaner and blow it dry. Start the truck and disconnect the FCA so it will throw max rail pressure into the rail for 1 minute. If it stays dry it is good, if there is seepage it is leaking and could be the problem.

Just because you replaced the injectors does not mean you got good ones. What specific ones did you use? If you did not use Genuine Bosch Injectors then all bets are off, could have a bad one.
