A pic would definitely be helpful.

you coulda just blown a line for your hydro boost? pumps still pumpin but it aint going where its suppost to, then you run out of fluid and loose your power steering. thats where i would start.

I'm getting pic right now and it leaks like crazy so has to be this part
|
Mine did that last year, and it was the line to the hydroboost too.

I couldn't tell much from the pic. Is it coming from above the pitman arm? With out seeing it in person, the pic would make it look like it is coming from the seal around the output shaft from the steering gearbox. Is the top of the gear box wet from PS fluid? If so it could possibly be a hose.
---AutoMerged DoublePost--- All the parts can be gotten at just about any parts store to answer you last questions. Depending on you wrenching skills and selection of tools available it can be done at home. might take some longer than others. |
Yes the steering box I believe its called
The pitman arm is connected to it and that little seal is leaking excatly what you said all fluids coming from the bottom right where it connects to the arm! Can I just take pitmam arm off then get that seal off and replace with new part and it will stop Leaking then fill with fluid and good to go????? |
got to admit, I've never had to replace a leaking output shaft seal on a steering box. I'm not sure exactly what type of seal is in there. Some reason it comes to mind it is an internal seal. My opinion would to take that to a shop.
