Cummins Transmission

I have a year 2000 dodge cummins (24 valve) and i need to replace my transmission and i found one online but its off of a 1996 dodge cummins (12 valve)... Would it fit??

Your 2000 will have an electronically controlled 47RE, and the transmission from that 1996 is a hydraulically controlled 47RH.

Rebuild your current transmission with quality parts, install a shift kit and a good single disc converter.

I agree with Diesel Dawgs.

Search in this forum section (24v) for y 47RE rebuild post. I am currently doing mine.... Was waiting for parts to finish, they came in, however were destroyed in shipping :argh:

You said you need to replace it? Whats wrong with it exactly?
