Its sure crazy how each make is so much different! I just got through fixing a 99 stroke, that high pressure oil system is so much different. One guy looked at it and said it needed a new hpop and was gonna cost 3 grand! I finally traced it down to a no fuel issue. Did not take any new parts either.

---AutoMerged DoublePost--- Well i looked at the rig today, my buddy hopped in and cranked it over it sputtered a couple of times, puffed out some blue smoke and fired up and ran just fine. He said it got low on fuel the same day it died but he claims he has ran it lower. Anyways they put some fuel in and it still wouldnt fire the day before. My scan tool gave me 2 codes, P1689 and 1698, the 1689 said no communitcation between ECM and injection pump, 1698 said somethin about no bus transmission. Then i did the key test, I got P1694, 1693, 1687. So there ya go! Thanks in advance. |

The key trick gave you some interesting codes all relating to electronic non-communication in the PCM. |
