Re: Injectors are in....

You are on the right path, sounds like a pump issue, as you said made worse by the injectors. I've always ran a so. Did you have the injectors pop tested? It might help a touch but I vote the pump is the problem

Yeah they were tested by Gillette Diesel... my pump is under warranty, havta give industrial injection a call tomorrow and see if they have any input for me, maybe they will let me swap out because my HR is under warranty still? Ah what a pain in my ass!!!! Will definatly put a video up tomorrow so yall can hear how bad it is (and it's bad) :dang:

And this all really sucks because the truck goes like hell, cruises good, nothing wrong other than idling down, and idle with trans in drive.

I have no experience with the HR pump, but I have HEARD (again no experience) that the HR pumps require the larger injector lines to eliminate the lope. Again, I have no experience with the HR pump but I can remember on more than 1 occasion hearing that larger lines are required with the HR pump.

Call II and see what they say.

and yes the Big Injector lope after going full fuel drop to idle is very real, I have had it happen on several occasions, gets my heart pounding looking at gauges every time.

please let us know what II says

x2, I'm very curious about this

Plus I'll learn something new :c:

Alright so I called IIS. Those guys are always really helpful, he told me as much as he could gather from what I told him, so basically my fluxuating/dropping pressure is directly related to the erratic lope. I'm thinking air in the lines (possibly from drawtube)... When I hold it steady at 1200rpm or so it will be smooth at first but then tends to get a little rough. I took the truck out for a bit today and and hammered the hell out of it, no hiccups or anything when driving no matter how i treated it and the idle wasn't nearly as bad as it was yesterday, however it will cycle from nearly "normal" idle to a fast, choppy lope that shakes the whole freakin' truck, but the whole time my fp is 18-20psi... cruising it stays around 15, give or take a few, and can see 10psi stuffed

the lope is common when running that hotrod pump and bigger injectors.. get used to it..

And a so will make more power.

Re: Injectors are in....

If his lope is as described it sounds a touch worse than most hr related lope issues. I installed one hr and took it back off after 2 days

:ty:

Going to do air leak test like IIS reccomended and order a draw straw V... from 20psi at idle to 10 at WOT can't be normal
