Have you been having any hard starts or any other issues lately?

dolla_hite 05-31-2011 07:35 PM

no. went and got my new truck with it on saturday and didnt miss a lick

turbo20psi 05-31-2011 07:38 PM

I would check your fuel pump relay, its under the hood driver side.

outlaw1_gt 05-31-2011 07:45 PM

do you have a stock lift pump or aftermarket like an airdog or fass?

dolla_hite 05-31-2011 07:46 PM

if it was a fuel pump relay it wouldnt run right? cause it runs fine just has no power

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

stock but its putting out good pressure

the 0216 is a timing malfunction code that is very general. it could be a large mixture of air in the fuel or could be the pump failing. also it could be something damaged in the pump, mine was throwing this code and we pulled the pump down to a broken delivery valve. the 1693 is a companion code from the jtec module. this is a code that basicaly says there is a code set and im not sure on the 1694 off the top of my head. it sounds like the pump could be failing to me...

time for a new VP44 and lift pump. every time i have seen the p0216 its been bad. the p0216 is considered the death code. imo, i would put an airdog on the truck when you replace the IP to make sure the vp44 always has a good supply of fuel. me or any of the other sponsors here on db can get you a IP and a LP and a lot of the time when you buy them both you can get a lil better deal :tu:

dolla_hite 06-01-2011 06:59 PM

but if its the ip would it still run?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

anybody else have any input for me?

ntallent 06-02-2011 09:01 AM

yes it will still run it just wont have the power it should because its not supplying enough fuel to the injectors

biged681985 06-02-2011 04:39 PM

the last truck we replaced the ip had that code and it was low on power and hard to start. he drove it to the shop, and it died and would not start back when i hooked a fp gauge to it. still had 10 psi of fp started, and died. it had the p0216 code.

dolla_hite 06-02-2011 08:01 PM

does anyone know anything about the p1694 code cause its on my other truck to?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

is there anyway to tell if your ip has been replaced before just by looking at it in truck?

turbo20psi 06-02-2011 08:04 PM

P1694 Fault In Companion Module No CCD/J1850 messages received from the powertrain
control module-Aisin transmission
P1694 (M) No CCD Messages received from
ECM
Bus communication failure to PCM.

Is anything done to your trucks?

dolla_hite 06-02-2011 08:40 PM

have a ez on one but the other is stock

biged681985 06-02-2011 08:45 PM

that is just a companion code, means there are other codes. alot of times when u go to clear it that code wont clear and will stay on the truck.
