a good turbo for your aplication is probably like a 62/65/12 i would guess, spool up quick and keep your egt's under controll with the 100's or possibly the hy35/ht3b twins depending on how mechanicly inclined you are it could be built fairly cheaply and easily. can get the 3b at a local truck salvage yard for about 300 bucks then the pipeing for around 250 extra plus misc parts, the easiest would be to just ask a quote from the awesome vendors on here and get an idea of what they think will work for you!

x2 on building your own j-hook, im sure if you google it something will come up on how to do it yourself and save the $50 or just ask tburke, looks like he already got it done :tu:

Mine is just a short j hook maybe about 6 inches and one end is attached to the wastgate lever on the turbo and the other is attached to the bracket on the turbo near the actuator. The way I have mine the wastegate is constantly closed.

Oh ok, I got ya now Thank you. Guess ill give it a try when my boost gauge and everything comes in crossin my fingers for this week. Ill let yall know how everything turns out. Also since yall are bein so great with answers, are there any little things i can do to get more power that are cost effective?

It has been recommended to me to keep boost level not over 35-40 because of stock head studs. I'm not sure if the ADR pulse your getting has the boost limit that you can set but just make sure you don't go too high on the boost....sounds like with the mods you have planned it will run real good:c:

yep anything over about 35psi is just superheated air and actaully hurting your power not helping it:tu:

Alright figured id update everyone just incase.....Installed the Airdog 100(sits at 14 psi at idle and 11 to 12 psi under heavy pedal), AEM Brute Force HD cold air, VP44(installed myself and wasnt to bad) and Quadzilla w/ Pulse V2 Monitor with fuel pressure gauge. Stock setting the truck unbelievable power, I leave it at setting 3 and get great fuel mileage compared to what i was getting. All in all its like owning and driving a whole nother truck. Any suggestions on how to get my EGT's down i seem to hit 1250 pretty damn quick and what is the safe range for EGT's on this truck?

nothing over 1400 imo... i shut it down after 1350 just to be safe

you could look into water meth injection...

aftermarket exhaust or get a turbo ment to support the fuel your pushing into it
