ok next question dana 80 spline count

is it the dana 80 that has 35 spline axles? i tried to search but it erased 80 out of the search since it was less than 3 letters..

hmm i wonder if they changed any in those few years i replaced an axle shaft a few years back when i snapped the cap off the shaft but never did count them just went to a junker and he had one for a 2000 already

the 80's are all the same 94-02 that is if it's still stock. I know 37 spline is an upgrade unit for them

my experince is 35 on dodge and 37 on f450. I tried to swap a dodge rp and carrier in a ford it all works except axles.

I have a 2000 dodge 3500 dually with a dana limitd slip rear end. When I back up it behaves as if it is slipping intermittently. What is the prognosis for failure & how soon. I do not have the special lubricant additive that is added along with the regular sunthetic gear lube. If it is trashed, then is it possible to changer it for a standard 3rd member, non-limited slip differential? I have seldom pulled any heavy weight behind.:hellox:
