They make a new kind of sealer that is a lot better than the old junk. It bonds with the freon instead of the oil and actually circulates very well throughout the entire system. Its good stuff I put it in my system last spring when I charged the system for the last time.:tu:

Any refrigerant that has a leak sealer is designed to seal only micro leaks.....1/10th of an ounce in a year. My experience with these cure-alls is a bust,they cause restrictions in orfice tubes,create poor heat exchange in condensers,evaporators and cause compressor's to fail. Normal system operating pressures will vary depending on outside ambient temp,and air temp in cab. A manifold set is a valuable tool in diagnostics,as is an accurate thermometer.Anyone wanting to tap my 30+ years repairing systems on Pete,Kenworth,Dodge,and Ford,give me a shout.

I'm going to assume that is good old R12. Works great, but not so healthy for the environment. I sure did make a pretty penny doing R12 to R134 conversions.:c:

a properly filled r134 system will cool like a champ. I freeze people out of my truck all the time.
