Well, I didn't see one on here. I can only imagine HOW many of us on here suffer from the evil gremlins that sneak in and crack our dashes all to pieces.

SO, is your dash cracked? What model RAM? What year? When did it first "go" on you?

99 2500 SPORT
bought it cracked, but wasn't very bad @ 145k is an EPIC failure now, falling apart everywhere. Is more "Grand Canyon-ish" then a dash board anymore!

mines a 2002 with no cracks :jump: i keep it in a garage though that prob helps

2000, cracked in at least two places, think they were there when I bought it in 2007. But a new dash won't make it run better, so it isn't even on the list!

iv got an 01 and i have holes the size of basketballs it sucks. iv got a dash mat but i dont like it. i bout it 2 years ago and i had it already.

Im not a dashmat fan myself, dont like carpet on dash...

2001, cracked dash, did it while I was driving, about 10 degrees out, popped about 10 ft out of my driveway. I used some clear epoxy on both ends, and it hasn't spread yet...

2001, no cracks - dunno how though.

01 two cracks hardly noticable drilled small holes at the end of both cracks so they wont spread

what i did when mine cracked i called Dodge and chewed some major butt and the fixed it for a 100 buck. And i had almost 200k on my 2000.

98.5 with 220k and :jump:no cracks:jump: ......yeah I'm bragging:tttt: but I suppose it'll be cracked tomorrow now:argh:

99 cracked all to pieces.

99, what was left of the outside edge was not cracked, I didn't even have to take the radio out to work on the wires:D

i got 205000 and no cracks, wonder why they crack?

From what i understand its cause by shrinkage... A guy i know had his crack right in front of him... It was totally fine then all the sudden it cracked, he said it sounded like an explosion. The crack didnt spread like a windshield would... It just blew apart like pulling a fault line from both sides.
I dont know if Dodge used crappy materials, baked the plastic too long, or what. All i know is they WONT admit they have a problem!

OK I may as well add my two cents: 99- 2500- 216,000miles, dash is not cracked one one place it is junked all over :dang:

2000 Ram 2500, Holy Dash, from what i have gathered it is the factory windsheilds that cause the cracking, somehow, it lets the wrong type uv light through and it cracks them.

01 dash is cracked 5 places but so far no holes!! My last one had football sized holes.. Was a 99.
Guess we should make dodge visit this thread! It's hard to argue with facts! (but u can't fix stupid either):argh:

02 with 135k and the cracks are taking over. entire pieces ar breaking off. looks so terrible but there some sites out there that you can get replacements ranging in price within the 100 200 range....yet still a complete waste of money considering it shouldnt be like that!!!

I have a 96 but i want in on this has 350k on her and it's all sorts of cracked

Got a 97, and it had all kinds of cracks over the dash, but the new one is crackless and its been about 2 years now

2001 and it hasn't cracked yet. It usually sits outside too except for the few rare times it gets to sit in the garage.

01 with no cracks at 144,000 @no cracks in my 94 at 220,000 and they both have neverbeen inside since I've owned them

Add me to the list 02 with 120k and had no cracks at all then was washing my perfectly good noncracked dash the otherday and there is now one about an inch on the pass side defrost vent wtf :dang: :argh::bat:

01 2 cracks slightly to the right of radio it is not noticable when its hot but in cold you can fit a quarter in it i also have decided to go with the dash cover from genos probably gonna get it when it starts getting cold i will throw some poxys on it to keep it from cracking anymore and throw that cover on it and be good to go

i got a 1974 ford farm truck with a crack in the dash after 600,000 miles. LOL

my 01 was cracked a little when i bought it and parking out side and ruff county roads now its more cracked up than i would be at a larry the cable guy show

Just bought the 95 and shes cracked by the two center bolts on the dash by the winshield... :td:

01 157k with the charcoal dash. it has more glue in it than plastic! Does it have something to do with what color dash you have?????

maybe, mines blackish, probally the charcoal color. mines only a 02' with 92k and its got about 5 cracks in it. my exhaust makes it shake when i drive now.

Dashmat since 3 mos old, obviously no cracks.

99 170k cracked when I bought it...I think it's got enough "stress relief" now that hopefully it will be awhile before it caves in.

02 with 368K, cracks... I wish that was all. I actually have a spot where two cracks crossed and that piece fell into the dash area and now have a hole near the windshield in the middle of dash.:tttt:

mine did good till this 213,000 the damn thing poped going down the road and now it has a crack in the front right corner :dang:

99 reg cab charcoal dash it was good till this past winter i guess it was cold out and i had the heater cranked plowin snow pushed a pile backed up hit it a little harder to move it more then i heard crack and seen what i did its by the pass side defrost.
o its got 109k
