Could this maybe of had the smarty loaded to it to get the warm up?

0 degrees C is not "that cold." It should start and run fine with no heaters, block or grid at that temperature and even a bit lower.

Sorry! But i guess i didnt mention that it does that at -15 and lower, yesterday i've started it at -20 without had it plugged in.
But i should first check the injectors out and then see what happens or first run some fuel conditioner through.

I also drive a 2006 Jeep CRD, but the start up sounds and smokes are totally different, i guess because this is the new diesel system (Common Rail Diesel) and its easier to start up in the cold weather. Even preheat the injectors takes less than 2 sec at -10C.

You really should plug it in for 3 hours when its that cold.

X2 sounds like the high idle and 3 cyl warm up to me too. Got a thread going on doing this to my truck as well. BTW welcome to diesel bombers good luck.:c:

No reason to. Fires up just fine and no plug in at work anyhow.
