Is the hose to the heater core hot?
Im thinking its probably the heater core. Not a fun job - dash has to come out. Mine could probably be replaced but I wouldnt consider tackling that until I absolutely had to. |

Be a good idea to replace all the coolant hoses along with the coolant?? That's if they never been done??
|
if you anal i recon :D
|
Saying that, cause it's more logical with the coolant drained, your in the garage/shop/driveway, basically at home and not on the side of the road with a blown hose. What's another $70 in hoses compared to say, a damaged engine?? If you can't tell, I'm big on maintenance. :)

the thermostat is new or not that old and the coolent is only 3 months old i did not replace the hoses though. i hope its not the heater core i have donr one in a dodge and that was enofugh for me

What kind of thermostat?
I would really recommend one from Cummins. I have seen many have trouble with cheapy parts store thermostats in these beasts. |
may be the wrong tstat they are rated for different temps
