I am replacing my clutch with a Haisely Steet Puller, but what are you guys opinion of my old one? Shot, good, or half way dead? Never seen a bad clutch, so just trying to better my knowledge. Let me know and the reason why please.

How can you tell it was close to failing?

12valvetater 07-28-2009 05:18 PM

it was slipping big time you can tell because of those blue/purple splotches on the flywheel and pressure plate that = heat and heat = to much power for your clutch

Captn_tyler 07-28-2009 05:36 PM

engine all stock, never turned up the box cause I was trying to save that clutch. It started slipping tho

12valvetater 07-28-2009 05:49 PM

how far from were the rivets from the clutch plate surface?

Captn_tyler 07-28-2009 06:38 PM

Every other one is flush. The one that are inset are flush on the oppisite side.
