You will need more fuel that then ddr gives you. Your comp should have a built in boost fooler. And yes there is a 5th gear fix too.

Here's your fix for the 5th gear nut. NV4500 Parts

I'm a die hard fan of the MITUSA Pump. Think every truck should have one.:humm:

Thanks guys does anybody foresee any problems with this setup as of right now all the parts are in the boxes awaiting my return from Iraq to be installed and let me tell you im getting antsy. Also are there any other choices besides the 2inch leveling kit

Uncle Bubba 05-23-2009 02:01 AM

Like said before, you won't need the Boost Fooler, your Comp will take care of that for you.

What's your goals for the leveling kit. Need to know this to tell ya what options there are for you.

Uncle Bubba 05-23-2009 02:13 AM

Here is lots of info for the front end leveling the real way instead of the shortcut blocks. https://www.dieselbombers.com/5-9l-2...d-rebuild.html

You also need to get rid of the stock fuel pickup in the tank, fuel lines and banjo bolts to go with bigger lines and high pressure fuel fittings. The stock stuff is to restrictive for high horse power applications.

For more info on the MITUSA Pump you can contact a member named Opie right here on the site, he designed and is marketing it for himself now.

The big line kit is an easy install, just takes some time.

The twin turbos using both the same turbos regardless of what turbos you used would yield very little gains in performance and sure wouldn't get you enough to justify all the expenses and problems you would have to deal with gettin em set up.

Unless your into some serious competition twins are a luxury item that not many of us can afford.

Well I'm not ha ha, just wanna make sure i don't mess nothing up in the short time i have with my truck. Any other ideas on the front end and if i could fint a wrecked truck how hard would it be to convert mine to a 4x4?

Uncle Bubba 05-23-2009 01:59 PM

That would be a job to say the least. I know some guys have done it but it not a backyard type thing to do. New front axle, transfer case, Adapters for your tranny to mate up with it, cuttin the hole to install the selector, clutch assembly both pedal and clutch itself, new driveline parts, vacuum lines ran and probably a 100 other small odds and ends.

Probably be easier to rebuild the junk truck usin parts off your truck where you could.

ok Thanks it was an idea so big line kit and i shouldnt have any problems what about my EGTs they should be ok with the stock turbo

Diesel Dawgs Performance 05-23-2009 07:25 PM

You can run the Comp and Stg3's with a stock turbo but if you do much towing its going to get hot in a hurry.

You need to add a new exhaust and air intake for pullin to help control EGT's. I also put a Bigmouth Downpipe between the exhaust and the turbo and it did make a nice difference on cool down times. With it my temps come down on the spot to normal once i let off the pedal. No waiting needed.

SSD 05-24-2009 07:13 AM

Im allready runnin stacks would just a downpipe reach or would i have to add some pipe
