I have a 99 Dodge one ton that I pull a 40' fifth-wheel trailer and the tach quits from time to time and the trucks lose,s half it's pullin power then the tach starts working again and all the power is back.
I changed the tach sensor and it made no differance.
Any help from any one

The truck has 175,000 miles on it, 4X4 with 4/10 gears and is automatic, When it lose's power it is still running and will slow down to about 40 mph I had it code check and they told me it was the cam sensor so I changed it. not the tach sensor

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? So basically the truck runs but when you step on the accelerator you get nothing (Dead pedal) They came up with no other codes?

No fuel pressure installed but I do have one, A "Dead Pedal" is a perfect discription, the check engine light is on some days and not others, and no other codes

I'm thinking it might be your injection pump. Thats what mine did when it went (Dead pedal)
lift pump went out and took the injection pump with it. I would have some one read the codes again. The key trick won't work on a 99 will it?

I do not know what the "key trick" is but I will try it if you can give me some pointers

You turn the ignition key on and off 3 times but don't start it, and on the third time leave it in the on position and code #'s will show on the odometer

He has a '99 though, so that won't work. He will need to take it somewhere where they can pull codes for him.
Radarpilot: you will need a fuel pressure gauge ASAP, they are an absolute must on second gen trucks. My guess is your lift pump has died, and taken out the injection pump at the same time (VP44). If this is the case, I would suggest putting in an aftermarket lift pump when you replace the injection pump, get a fuel pressure gauge and pretty much be done with it.

On edit: it could also be something as simple as corroded grounds. It has happened before. I would suggest cleaning all your grounds in the engine compartment, not just the battery terminals. There are about ten ground points I think under the hood (it's been a while). See if that helps. There was a guy on a different forum that had a similar issue a year or two ago, and after replacing both pumps and a whole bunch of sensors as well as the APPS, found out it was a bad ground. Cheap place to start anyway, especially if the truck has no codes.
