Axle shaft seal.
I am running Amsoil. Whether they replace it with that, I do not know. They do know that it has Amsoil in it.

Just hose it off real good with some brake cleaner & see if it comes back. Could be just left over oil that was in the tube.

Mike the seal will usually fix itself in a few hundred miles - but if they knicked the seal real good it may need to be replaced.

i fixed mine awhile back and i had the same thing happen, it ended up just being left over from the orginal seal, hopefully yours is the same problem. Most shops put on the recipts what oil was used, at lease my local ones do, id check that to be sure they put amsoil back in.

Do you have 2 wheel or 4 wheel ABS?

The hubs for 4 wheel ABS are about twice the price.

They did replace the seal.
I have 4 wheel ABS.

I doubt they put Amsoil back in, but that is ok; I can do that again. A small price to pay for what they did for me: They said that normally they say up front that the seal may have to be replaced and that there is more cost in doing that, but they did it for me no charge AND fit me in to their busy schedule.

All that $ is why I do this stuff myself,heck I changed my passenger side balljoints in the driveway,cost me like $100.(it was a PITA though,holy crap those babies are in there)
So far the only U-joint I've changed is the very rear one.

Getting the stock front wheel bearings off was terrible,used the bolt trick and a big ass sledge hammer,hours of pounding....lol
