Lift pump pass though?

So I have 2002 in tank lift pump and was wondering what the little H connector is for that ties the return and pressure lines? http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/l...111_181922.jpg

Is there a way to make this lift pump a pass through in case the electric pump fails?

To run anyother lift pump you will need a draw straw or a sump. Trying to pull through a dead or dieing pump will cause a restriction in pressure.

Do you know what that "H" connector between the feed and return is for?

I do not..

Looks like its a FPR that pops around 5-9psi.

I wouldn't run it that low. Bosch specs it for a minimum of 10 psi. Personally I wouldn't do less than 14 psi. I wouldn't run it. I'd park it till you get the fuel pressure sorted.

I am running a TDi ALH in my 2001 dakota. It has an 11mm VE pump and originally ran on a straw. I added a lift pump cause its not stock.
