has this truck been sitting for a long time? that's some really low miles. try running some Lucas oil treatment in the oil and some lucas fuel additive or similar stuff in the fuel even add some Dextron 3 ATF to the fuel it is probably something simple.
Check your fuel quality for bad fuel maybe detonation.
I wouldn't worry to much about having a 53 block mine has 278000 on it. Best thing is to not shock it temperature wise, in other words let it warm up when its cold out and keep it plugged in when its extremely cold.

Sounds great to me has a little rocker noise but nothing to worry about.

Jet A Fuel 01-09-2016 08:16 AM

What kind of oil are you running?

Go advanced on the lower post reply tab then select the weird looking icon next to the hour glass and the picture Icon and paste your URL there. (When you hold the pointer over the weird looking icon it will say insert link).

Valvoline diesel Cummins recommended with two courts Lucas oil stabilizers

i changed the fuel filter today but still the same ticking noise cracked all injectorsno air in the lines i did here that the lifters may need to be adjusted i am trying to figure that out now .
