hard starting
My truck has a hard time starting after it sits a while. I just recently replaced the return valve on the injector pump but that did not help. after you start it up it will start easy after that. I do notice that my fuel pressure quickly goes to zero once I shut it off. Should it keep some kind of pressure to the pump after you shut it off? :argh:

I don't think it keeps fuel pressure after the motor is shut off.

Fuel tube o rings are most likely bad.

Check the fuel drain manifold on the back of the head on the driver's side. It loosens up overtime and can create these symptoms.

Try disconnecting power to the lift pump before a cold start. If it starts easier then the diaphragm in the vp44 is damaged. Dont drive it with the lift pump disconnected.
