it can be several things wore on the truck. jack the truck up and check everything. :hellox:

first thing i would do is with your truck on the ground have someone move the steering wheel back and forth and check for play in the joint were the track bar attaches to the frame. also check for play on your tie rod ends. make sure all are tight. also when is the last time you have checked your lug nuts? make sure they are all tight. you may also want to check the bolts on your control arms, they are prob tight but just make sure. also may want to re balance your tires and wheels. and also make sure your steering damper is not blown out. not sure if that covers everything but im sure someone will add if it doesnt.

So just got to hope get lucky with the first part I throw at it. I don't know if this would help in the diagnosis or not but durin the crazy ass shaking steering wheel was perfectly fine I had full control over steerin. Does this help anyone to give me any insight of what part could it be? Is it just something simple like trac bar or stabilizer or what? I don't want to throw hundreds of dollars into it especially since I'm buyin an old huntin truck this comin weekend

Agreed. Whether or not it makes your 14 year old truck do 85mph over bumps like a new Corvette, replacing worn parts can only protect you from some other catastrophic failure at the very least.

Nobody said to just throw money at it, nor can we diagnose it over the web, we're giving you the known common causes of your problem. You have to determine wich parts are worn. :c:

If you're unhappy about it characterizing the normally expected maintenance process of replacing worn out parts, then just drive it until it comes apart and get a new one. Hope you don't kill yourself and/or someone else in the process.

Otherwise, buck up and get the damn thing fixed. Chances are it needs alot of work. If you can't do it yourself get it into a shop and get it fixed. Pretty simple, really.

cody is a good guy. he was trying to fig a point to start at. after we told him it could be a combo of several things doing the death shake, he knows what he has to do. check the whole front end :hellox:
