Gee wiz, I took out the silencer ring and removed the OEM air filter box and stuck on a 6637 filter and still don't hear that much turbo whistle ;-(

i bought an ats aurora 5000 if you want a whistle lol she can sing you a tune lol
What makes the Aurora's superior to the stock turbo?
Groggy2 - I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. Mine was the same way. Call me tomorrow around 9am pacific time as I can talk you through it. I broke a pic trying so be careful it doesn't break and end up in the turbo. I found a very slow but delicate sure fire way.

I love that whistle sound. Do you see a downside to making this modification to a stock truck? Simple too.

I have a afe pro dry filter and a hx35 with the silencer ring removed and it whistles pretty good.
Tiremann is right. And you don't have to order replacement filters... NAPA is everywhere. My truck is stock too and it made a big difference in the whistle.
Yep!
Silencer ring out made a noticeable difference in my truck! With the stack, it sounds amazing! BHAF hopefully later today if NAPA has em in stock! Then she'll really sing!:rocking: |
