Might check it with the truck running. When the water pump is going out it will dump a puddle of antifreeze.

yeah it could be your water pump. i would do the head studs anyhow. are you boosting above with the 150hp injectors?

it happens but pretty rare , i would clean it up and put some pressure test the system and verify exactly where the leak is spawning from

doing the head on a cummins is crazy easy although i would get help cause its pretty heavy and service information actually tells you to use a hoist to lift it

good luck

Might be a cracked block too. but there is a water passage in that area.

Head weights about 200lbS deff head stud and fire ring it

blacksally 02-10-2013 02:52 AM

well i drove it 300 miles today and had no leaks??? it doesnt over heat or anything stay at about 190ish and i only boost 32psi nothing crazy fire ring it do i have to just get head ringed or block to im looking to just get stock head gasket with arp studs??? i heard you onyl want to use stock head gasket no aftermarket ones, ill have to clean it up tomorrow and see if i see it leaking and pressure test it

oh and i noticed it may look like coming out of that little 3/8s plug and fan blowing it over on the side

Rainman44 02-10-2013 09:24 AM

Has the head ever been off and the fire ring get machined to the head

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

If the heads never been off I would just use a stock gasket

blacksally 02-10-2013 11:11 AM

no heads never been off
