Intake? best for the money

Hey guys Ive been needing to redo my intake for awhile now, Im tired of my stock filter gettin fill of crud, but I would also like to relpace the intake horn, What the best bang for the buck for a poor rancher lol. I hate to drop 200 Bucks for a filter and a piece of sheet metal, thats cost 100 bucks, any of you guys redneck rigged you air filters, but Im lookin for suggestions, I want to put a edge ez in but I rather get it rid of our asthma problems. Id appreciate you input. Thanks guys..

BHAF and leave your horn, it is far from a restriction until you are putting down pretty serious power. I hear lots of noise about the BHAF not being a cold air intake, but I don't really buy into it all the way. You are cramming all that air into a turbo and an intercooler, a few degrees intake temperature isn't going to make a huge difference.

Search Google for bhaf part numbers. Search eBay for one. I got mine for around 40 shipped! Or if you wanna message me I'm thinking of trying to rig one out of a fewdifferent things and maybe ill get Aberdeen price if I order enough for a couple

I've been looking at intakes as well. It's hard to choose because there are so many options out there.

One thing that got me, was the horsepower ratings. If you look for example at the K&N intake for our trucks, they rate it's HP gains at 2260RPM, a bit higher than I normally run. I'm not sure how it performs between say 1500 and 2000 where I normally drive.

Well you peak horse power is in the 2200RPM range and your peak torque is in 1800 RPM range, so you gonna have the gain somewhat through out acceleration, but you not gonna notice a huge difference in you driving, IM not looking for gain im looking for easier breathing for my truck...

ill make it eeasy and cheap for you....
go to orielys and buy the 4" open cone style air filter.
then go to the hard wair store and buy a aluminum vent joint and use it as the backing plate
no you got all the stuff how to make..
1remove top of air box
2put backing plate into the existing air inlet hose
3put the filter on the backing plate
4 tighten clamps
thats it leave the top of the box in a safe place but it will not get wet and will pull more air..
this will alow for a faster spool and a loader turbo. any q's just ask fpr pics just tx 13092589035
