you can get around 400 HP from the VE pretty easy. which makes for a very fun truck. nothing really bad to say about them. if you want much morethan that you will most likely be looking at a pump swap. but 400hp and 800tq is a very good set-up because you can still use the truck as a truck and be competitive stop light to stop light. AND you will save BOOKOOO $$$$ not swapping pumps so you can get a fancy turbo. which you will need.

ok well say i want that 400hp and 800tq what all would i have to do to the ve to make it possible?what mods would i have to do and with those what am i lookin at price wise and mpg?i am really excited to do all this but i know it will take a minute to do it and get everything i need.

turbo2332 03-13-2012 01:21 PM

the mods you have listed and a better turbo. and you are real close to there.

trentowens92 03-13-2012 09:06 PM

go on the show me your first gen page, go to page 13 at the bottom of the page will be BC847 truck and a huge list of his set up and everything envolving it, if you wanna make that power, your gunna ned to run close to what hes got, he has nothing out of the ordinary just a common hx35/40 hybrid and an HT3B some little stuff and 6X16 injectors and he puts down 484hp and 800 something at the wheels, check it out

trentowens92 03-15-2012 09:27 AM

wow that looks like alotlol...now if i were to do something similar to that, would it still be a very reliable truck, that you can still use as a daily driver?
