How to lope???

Ok dont bash me too hard.... I'm building a truck for a buddy...1992 auto... He wants it to lope.... How can i do that????

Pinch-off one of the injector lines? :nope:

1st_gen_puller 01-07-2012 09:29 AM

That might work...:argh: but no really... is the cam the only way??? I'm thinking in order to flow enough fuel we would prob have to get new banjo bolts where they connect to the injector as well as bigger feed lines that flow more.. I was just curious...

i would think that a little bigger fuel lines would do the trick. not to big though cuz our trucks dont move enough fuel to keep it running with really big ones. ive seen a site that has them. im probly gunna expierence a set of lines one step up from up from stock at some point soon cuz my lines are starting to leak and i dont think the next step up from stock ones cost much more. i havent really searched around too much though. i figure it cant hurt to much if i have to get new lines anyway. it might come in handy for a 14mm ve swap someday too

Oversized fuel lines will give you a little lope. ^

I want to say the site was PDR. I believe theyre about $400 a set w/o the clamps iirc. They do warn you that their largest size lines will ruin the trucks drivability on the street as falling to an idle will more than likely stall the truck. In the same token, to counteract the increased injection delay (the cause of the lope) timing will be one of your best friends.

a cam ''can'' make it lope though..... right???? or cannot ever under any circumstance??? And i still can't find any lines guys...:scare2::s:

will not ever make it lope... ever. And honestly I've never heard of oversized lines for a VE since theres no use to go any larger with that style pump.
