hey guys have you ever thought of buying a 55 gallon drum of methonol? if i calculated right it comes out to 17.7 full tanks in the 7 gallon tank that comes in the snow max kit shouldent that be about a years worth? and that is $3.09 a gallon for strait meth does that sound reasonable?:humm:
|
You just have to keep it clean and don't let any trash in it. Just be sure to go no more than 49% meth to a gallon and your good to go for around 1.55 a gallon. Oh and DON'T SMOKE AROUND IT!!!!!! :scare2:

Where do you get 49%? Just curious.
I run a 50/50% mix all the time. I've read of some folks running up to 70% meth but I expect they most likely have issues with pre-ignition. It's been my experience that a 50/50% mix is relatively non-flammable (I've tried burning a mist of it. It only made my lighter wet). :pca1: |
Just in people I have talked to with the cummins you don't want to hit the flammable mark when your grid heater can come on. That would be bad:ouch: so just erring on the side of caution don't want a fellow 1st gen going down in flames

Mmm.... Water injected over long periods of low-load operation. :yum:

Is that a oil/water mix and where did that come from? Mine has never done any thing like that
|
I can do that at will on mine. Somehow it never happens to anybody else. I must be doing something special, can't figure it out though.

the 55 gallon drum if 98%meth but then i mix it with water to get my 49% 51% right? and ill proly go a little leener because i dont want to harm my truck, how do you know when the grid heater is on? and none in my family smokes and they are the only ones who will know where it is :tu:
|
Yeah you mix it with plain water. The heater cycles on and off in cool to cold weather and to know when it working just watch your voltage gauge lol
