need help asap guys thanks
ok im about to pull my tranny out to swap in a different one. its a 518 auto. how the heck do you spin the motor to get the torq converter bolts off?? theres like no room on the front of the engine to get a socket on the crank shaft to spin it and dont even know if you could anyway. need help asap tho starting this swap in 45 mins thanks guys

You can use a barring tool or i've heard of puttin a socket on the alternator but never tried it. :c:

Socket on the alternator...better have a gatorback.

take a good sized flat head screw driver and pry on the ring gear useing the housing of the trans to pry against

alternator pulley works like a charm, been there done that
|
just get a wrench on the harmonic balencer in the front and turn it. thats probly the easiest.

i used a 1/2 rachet with a short 15 on the harmonic bolts. ive pulled the trans twice and worked fine. good luck
