are my grid heaters going bad?
i have read a few posts on another forum and i think my grid heaters are going bad:td:. when i start the truck, the battery meter in the cab bounces back and forth, but wen it warms up it stays put at 14v. i have replaced the alternator and have had ground wires redone. all the wiring is in good shape. can some one please help me out so i dont go and throw the the wrong parts at it. thanks

mines an 06 and does the samething and has since the day i got it a little more then a year ago whenever its cold from what i've read and been told it is just that the grid heaters draw a lot of load off your battery and it will cycle on and off for awhile or shut off once you hit 20mph

It is very normal operation. There is nothing wrong. No need to a megga-dual battery system, 47giggawatz alternator, or anything. :pca1: |
