does any body have any tricks to turning the screw that lets it have more throttle? i will post a pic of it circled in red. thanks in advance :humm:
Took mine completely out...
i want to just adjust it. but i can't turn it, it is like its stuck or something. :humm:
You cant move it at all? :humm:
does it help?
it helps... and i put vice grips on mine... in the middle.. be careful... get the tight... once u bust it loose u should be able to turn it with your fingers or lightly with needlenose..:tu:
thanks i'll try that. :tu:
what dose completely removing it do?
it will just let you have more rpms
alot lot lot more... lol makes it sound completely different.
Taking out or adjusting the idle screw out wont screw anything up right? you can only wrap it up as hight as the governer allows, so what exactly is the benifit I cant grasp the concept.
More fuel delivery, more boost, more power.
I just did it to mine last night noticably more throttle and more top end speed. But now my fss has stopped working truck wont shut off have to manually shut off fuel lol looking for a pull cable now just like a tractor.
the concept basically is that it stretches your power band out allowing you to more efficiantly utilize rpm's and gear selection... it really has more of a positive affect for like towing vehicles...
i just got done doing this and it does really stretch out your rpms. thanks for the help:tu:
do you put the vise grips on the threaded end? or do you have to remove that cap?? i have tried removing that cap and its a b----!
you need to remove the cap to loosen the jam nut. i is hard to get it off but i just started pulling and cutting with some side cuts. hope you can get it. good luck:tu:
got it off today, thanks for all the help :choochoo:
truck has the stock rpm spring in it and a lot of pump mods.. so this helped quite a bit.. most noticeable thing to me though was wayyy more smoke at take off if i really get on it right before the turbo kicks in (automatic) ... that normal??? :tu: |
Its normal. No worries bud. More throttle before spooling= smoke. :nope: 32k spring will take care of that smoke though. :tu:
