That would do the trick. You could also start off in 3 gear, then skip 4th and shift up to 5th and pin it.

Indeed!!! Why more smoke its hard on your truck and gives us a bad name. Clean horsepower is more efficient and easier on your truck

no c i knew everybody would thank im dumb lol. but we are havin a smoke out at a field party next weekend and no body has a first gen thats goin. so if im the only one with one there id like to do it big if ya know what im sayin. i just want it temporarily

the the power screw until 1/2 turn before runaway (hanging rpms actually) and take out your afc lever.

olsmokie47 10-26-2010 04:58 PM

so turn it untill the hex screw is flush with the nut or what ever it is?

JBradley500 10-26-2010 05:10 PM

you need to do it with the truck running... turn the fuel screw in 1/2 turn at a time and rev the engine after each 1/2 turn... if you are close to "runaway" your RPM's will not come down immediately and you should turn it down 1/2 turn from that point.

take the intake tube off of the turbo 1st, and have something (a board preferably) to block air from coming into it. that will shut down the engine incase you get too carried away and the engine runs away.
