I think the tierod is fine thread. but the tire wear issue is a camber issue since its only the one side if it were a toe issue(tierod) it would be on both sides of the tire. being that the top of the tire is tipped out it is a camber issue most definately they are adjustable by a balljoint concentric that just needs to be rotated to be in spec.

Is that the threaded sleeve in the top ball joint socket?The manual says to tighten that to 40 ft lbs then bring the balljoint nut down to somethinglike 60ftlbs.

that should be it.. threaded sleeve in the top ball joint socket. you may have to buy them from napa or elsewhere if your threaded sleeve looks dead center most of the threaded sleeves I have seen look like a cam lobe and you can rotate that with a 1 1/4 or so wrench to adjust camber
