Knock yourself out, dude! Fuel system in-a-box/$200 worth of parts = BIG profit margin - go for it! Oh, I forgot, you already tried a FASS and didn't get that installed right, because you obviously still have issues.

Good luck! :w2:

oh an to the guy that doesn't thing first gens benifit from 1/2, what makes you say that, 1/2" is a standard upgrade... flows way more fuel....aome of us ARE pushing a lot of fuel to our trucks means we need more flow 1/2" means more flow... i loose fuel press at half throttle with my 95gph fass..... so 1/2" isn't a waste:moon::moon:

If you are dropping down pressure with a FASS on the truck already... You got problems. I'm laning on my pump pretty hard and I cant get the needle to move off 15psi with just the Walbro392

As for the 1/2 vs 3/8... Ever see the fuel passages inside the pump? Hell just look at the inlet hole....

so whit what is the best way to run the fuel system with the airdog should we bypass the filter housing and what about the fittings on the pump and the metel line is there a guide to doing this

Several big-power first gen guys (yeah, THOSE several) preach 1/2" fuel lines.

I got 1/2" stainless braid.

I don't see how 1/2" lines can benefit anything.

thise same guys have been inside there pump to open up passages. I ran 3/8" lines on mine, but thats what I had laying around. If I had to do it again... I would run 1/2". do I need them now? No. Will I ever need them? Probably not. But if I do they are there.

yes bypass your stock filter, all teh fittings shoudl be with the pump. Leave teh factory return line from you pump back. Dont mess with it at all.

DobermanDiesels 01-09-2010 12:17 PM

so if we bypass the filter does that change the anything other than just the filter there what about the wif sensor and throwing codes from not useing that and is there anymore sensors in there and what about the vp and its connections, a good guide to doing this would be great is somebody can from the tank to the vp

i didnt want to lose my fuel preheater so i cut the metal line that comes right out of the pump and installed it right there and out a hose clamp on it. hasnt given me any problems
