When I get the gauge I'm going to want to order a banjo bolt, right? I've only seen them for 98.5 and up will they work on a 93 or does someone make one for first gens?

that one..idk bud... could try drilling and taping one yourself...just get some teflon tape on the threads and get it snug but not overly tight... dont wanna pull your threads out; when you have to keep cuttin threads you can run out of material quick... go to an auto parts store and see if they have the banjo bolt for the 24V and compare it to the one off your truck. if i had to close my eyes and toss a grenade i'd say that they're the same...

what kinda numbers do you pull off with the air freshner :lol88: very nice man

HAHA I installed one of those last night, no performance increase in the truck :( but it worked wonders on the girlie.

Black Ice, I'm telling ya, chicks dig it. By the way i ordered an isspro fuel pressure gauge almost two weeks ago and it aint here yet so I still dont know whats up with the old girl.:w2: but what the hell, it smells good.

lol as long as it smells good... its just like a woman; if there's a stench then there's trouble in the trench

sounds like pump timing issue. at work all our trucks got the 1st gens in them. one day the truck looked like it was on fire going down the interstate. other truckers were pointing at my truck cause it was smokin so bad (blue smoke) our diesel tec said it was pump timing. whatever they did they solved it in a day!!!!!!

tower_ofpower 09-12-2009 10:23 PM

timing is affected by fuel pressure; with the 366 spring install and pump mods you can bleed the fuel system down... wayyy down... if your reducing the timing b/c of this in the higher rpms it can cause the same problem... i guess it is pretty common with the spring install. so; yeah it probably is a timing issue; just not one to do with the pump actually slipping
