This is wat i found out:
It looks a little different because it doesn't have an AFC or KSB. That means you won't have a pin to grind, an AFC lever to remove, or a smoke screw to mess with. The only external adjustments appear to be idle, high idle, and the power screw. and with a NV4500 and 3.54 gears i got 4th gear to top out at 95 |

There doesn't seem to be an air fuel control on top of that pump; I think that's a fuel banjo-bolt at the top, right? So consider that your AFC settings are all already maxxed out. So that leaves a full power screw, timing, and a governer spring that you can modify. Of course, since this is a tractor, it means that it'll be thrashed on a daily basis and you need to be extra careful to not overload anything on the driveline. And you also need a pyrometer. |
Begle......its in a 1988 C30 1 ton Dually. pyro is in, and not sue bout governor spring or fuel screw but i might play with it tomorrow:D

Yikes; I'll bet that thing is a freight-train-level smoker if you put it to the floor, isn't it? The tractor was probably a hand-throttle? Do you have a tach? The pump might have a 3200 RPM spring in it stock. If it even uses the same type of springs, which I'd assume it does. What's the rest of the driveline in the truck? |
the pump that you have on your truck is a lucas injection pump.
|
Why do you say that? Lucas builds Boschs? Rebuilds Boschs?
