Default VE Pump

So i have never had to play with my pump because i bought it already turned up. so i was wondering just where are these screws to play with??? i am one that doesnt just go turn things and see if it works, i wanna know which ones are the right ones to play with. im thinkkin bout turnin the smoke up a lil bit and maybe the power scrwe too. but they also might get turned down to save on drive train and fuel.

you probably already have the smoke screw turned in all the way and probably the cone ground since you have a 3200 spring already. So maybe the full power screw ain't been toyed with.

yea you want to get the numbers off the pump or the engine or something. It looks like a ve with the aneroid off the top or whatever the ufo flyin saucer lookin thing is. I don't see a place for the smoke screw. Hey nick remember that video last night I showed you? The smoke screw is under that little silver cap. http://s28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...t=MOV01023.flv What that thing does is control the amount of fuel given to the engine before boost is built.

well you said you could get it up to 100 mph. You're not gonna do that with a stock spring in the ip. So I just figured that most of the stuff that changing the spring entails was done with already(smoke screw and fuel cone)

depending on the gearing and trans you can get over 100mph with a stock VE. Mine just had the fuel and smoke screw turned in and I would push 105mph with it.
