driveshaft again

Well like an ass I thought that just cause my truck had a three joint shaft in it it needed a three joint shaft now I am in need of a 2 joint shaft for my truck got a three joint in good shape if anyone needs one. I don't know how or why but my truck had a shaft for a gas motor truck in it, much smaller in diameter and the u joints were way too small. Thanks Cassidy sorry for putting you out. So if anyone has a 2 joint shaft for a 93 Dodge CTD regular cab dually I will be glad to take it off your hands.

gonna have to go back to what i said before, are the snap rings in the caps or the yoke? it does make a difference cause they made both. if u dont mind me askin how did the other shaft fit if the joints were too small? some sort of spacer or somethin? just curious

Nope no spacer the ujoints were too short. You could move the joints while the shaft was bolted in up and down an 1/8 of an inch maybe a little more it was a pretty tight fit as far as cap diameter. The snap rings are in the yokes.

Crap man, I'm sorry about that.

So the shafts that I sent you have larger crosses on them than the crosses you had before? But the new shafts are the right length?

Because they sell adapter crosses, where one axis is bigger than the other one, so you can bolt a big u-joint to a little u-joint.

Like this.

The shaft you sent is to long the ujoints are the right ones I was talking about the original shaft that was in the truck. The yokes and stuff out of the shaft will work if I have to go to a driveshaft shop. Mopar doesn't sell them anymore and if they did they are 400 and change for the front and 350 and change for the rear no joints or center bearing. Jim the owner of the local salvage yard knows me by name as do the rest and I am in the salvage yard every week no shafts there for me. So I am hoping someone on here has one or I will have to have one made.
